About me




Hello,
I'm Georgia, a self confessed travel addict from Melbourne, I am very passionate about exploring new places. I have worked hard and have saved scrupulously to ensure that I have fed and continue to feed my wanderlust. A coeliac (or celiac for people in the USA) I want to share all of my tips, adventures and survival stories in order to make travelling as a coeliac less daunting for myself and others. I also, maybe naively, would love to bring awareness to the pitfalls while sharing the amazing places and experiences I have been fortunate to explore and have.

My first attempt at blogging, this is a daunting and exciting new experience. However with a firm intention of helping fellow coeliac or gluten intolerant travellers, while hopefully providing fun posts for even non gluten suffers, I can't wait to relive the many highs and occasional lows of travelling and I am thankful to anyone who takes the time to read and or comments with tips, ideas or your own journey. So lets get started.....

Dia dhuit, Ireland is an amazing country with an intense but interesting history. I stayed in Dublin and had a day trip to Belfast. The Southern States (USA) Part Two

Travelling on tour can definitely be difficult at times. Unfortunately it is one of those things where you have to be carefree, go with the flow and understand that you are in a travel bubble that will end at some point SO GET OVER THE BULLSHIT and enjoy the here and now. By the second week of my trip I was definitely seeing people for who they really were and in some ways that is awesome. You make friends with people that on day one you maybe thought weren't going to be for you and you also start to have certain people's habits grind on you. It is inevitable, not all people are going to be besties, but on the other hand you form bonds that far exceed your expectations and true friendships that will last a life time! So now on to fun..... Hello,  Travelling as a coeliac can be a difficult and occasionally frustrating experience. As someone who has only been aware of being coeliac in recent years it has led to a complete shift in my attitude and thinking when it comes to food and even to travelling. In the past, I have been the eat it all traveller, eating anything and everything that may be considered a cultural delicacy. However with those days firmly behind me I have had to learn to change my mindset and my expectations of travelling. Now as a HUGE travel enthusiast and fanatic I am always chasing that next high of planning, booking and escaping to new and exciting lands.
